I am happy to tell you that the Food Business Regulation (Cap. 132X) was amended to allow more flexibility to operators. With the amendments taking effect on 1 August 2010, the food room requirements including the minimum area of kitchen and food preparation room for licensed general restaurants, light refreshment restaurants and factory canteens are relaxed.
